Jeff Fouts: “Estate planning attorney Jeff Fouts here.
There are some folks out there that perhaps are — don’t get upset at me — that perhaps are smug. They think they understand everything. They think that they’ve got everything in order. They don’t think that they need a second opinion. They think that their attorney was the best and did everything just right.
Well, I’m sorry to have to break your bubble. This may come across as arrogant. I do not mean it to be arrogant. But don’t be so sure – don’t be so sure that what you think is going to work will in fact work. You are not an estate planning attorney.
I am not an IT person. I’m not a manager of a corporate world. There are a lot of things I’m not an expert at. You are doubtless more intelligent than me in your own career area. You and I have different skill sets, so you need to at least have some humility to understand that you may not understand what is going on here. Thank you.”
